2015 first period of spring semester: Research Training - Uppsala University

I did a 20 credit (5 credits during end of fall semester) course letting students get familiar the work in a research group. I was at the analytical chemistry research program in the chemistry department, working with supervisor Ingela Lanekoff. During the course I was supposed to measure drugs diffusing through epithelial cells but I ended up working with data processing of nano-DESI mass spectrometry imaging data using the programming language R.

2013 Autumn semester: Project work - Uppsala University

A 30 credit course letting students do a project at in a research group (or at a company). I was involved with a collaborative project between Nelander lab and Landegren lab, spending my time in Landegren lab. The collaboration between Nelander lab and Landegren lab was to develop a panel for cancer related protein measurement using multiplex PEA. My role was data handling using R.

2010-08-30 to 2012-09-03: Master of Science in Applied Biotechnology - Uppsala University

A master program with a mix of entrepreneurship and biotechnology. During the last year I took one 15 credit course (protein engineering) and a 45 credit degree project.
The protein engineering course involved trying to make a protein without a known structure crystallize by introducing mutations by mutation PCR. After introducing mutations and testing that the protein was expressed, the protein was purified and crystallized. My degree project was done at Ehrenberg Lab, report currently not public. During the project I used quench flow and HPLC to detect ribosome translation products.

I took courses in biology leading to a bachelor in biology. My degree project was done in the field of Systematics where a program was constructed in python that downloaded sequences from NCBI and using various program to constructing phylogenetic trees from them.

Computer skill

Operating systems

Use Linux at home and is most comfortable with some sort of unix-like operating system, can use most common operating systems without problem.

Programming languages

Have a general knowledge of programming but a have most experience with python and R. Also, during my studies (and life in general) I have come in contact with C#, java, matlab, javascript, lisp and C/C++ and I have at least a basic understanding of them.

Personal interests

I like martial arts and have first kyu in aikido, but currently does not train. When I was training, I used to be an instructor for kids ones a week. Mostly I like to learn different things.
